Cheese will this year host products and producers from transalpine Italian-French territories, thanks to the Interreg Promo Terroir (www.promo-terroir.eu) project, which aims to promote quality foods made in the area, supporting local economies, protecting traditional know-how and raising awareness about conscious and sustainable consumption. In this part of the market you’ll also be able to find out more about the stories, traditional trades and age-old production techniques of the Alps through films, photo exhibits and discussions.
Among these are Mixed Couples: Taste Workshops on cheese and other products from the Italo-French Alps, together with inspired pairings
The Presidia market will include a space dedicated to cheeses from the cross-border area: goat’s milk Brousse from Rove, Brigasca sheep’s milk Toma, Coazze Cevrin, Seirass del Fen, mountain Castelmagno, Langhe sheep’s milk Tuma, Sambucano sheep’s cheeses (from the Sambucano Lamb Presidium).

The cheeses will be accompanied by Presidia including high-mountain honeys, Monviso Valle Bronda Ramassin plums, and heritage Piedmontese apple varieties, sambucano lamb.
