Great Hall of Cheese
With a selection of the world’s finest, most sought-after cheeses, the Great Hall of Cheese is one of the event’s major attractions. Here you can sample cheeses you’ve only ever heard of, little-known rarities and hard-to-find specialties. Entering the Great Hall means taking a break from the hubbub of the Market and setting off for a journey around the world’s cheeses.
This year, out of the 150-plus cheeses on offer, 100 come from France, ready to be paired with wines from the French section of the Enoteca. Italian and international Slow Food Presidia, traditional products at risk of extinction that are being protected and promoted by the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity, will also feature.
Within the Great Hall is the Enoteca, pouring over 700 wines from Italy’s best wineries, including many from the Slow Food Editore guide Slow Wine and Slow Food’s Progetto Vino.
