The Cheese Market
For the eighth time Piazza Carlo Alberto and Piazza Roma will be filled with hundreds of producers and affineurs, with 3000 square meters of display space dedicated to cheese from around the world. This international network of cheesemakers and cheese agers meets here every two years, bringing rarities and the highest quality products from around the world.
The event’s showcase, the Cheese Market represents Slow Food’s promotion of producers who bring together quality and respect for the environment and the people involved in production. Among the stallholders will be herders, cheesemakers and affineurs who primarily choose raw milk for their small-scale production. The Cheese Market helps make the event a reference point not just for enthusiasts and connoisseurs, but also all dairy industry professionals.
Piazza Roma will become the Via degli Affinatori, the street of the affineurs, dedicated cheese agers from around the world. The spontaneously formed network of international affineurs who meet here every two years will be offering the best of their cheeses.
The Cheese Market is in Piazza Carlo Alberto and Piazza Roma.
