Greeting from the Mayor of Bra

Cheese is like a window opening up onto our local area every two years. For four days Bra becomes the center of the dairy and cheese world, but with the ambition to initiate discussions and debates on everything to do with food, consumption, production and agriculture. However the uniqueness of this event continues to be its setting, with the town’s streets and squares transformed into the stage for an event that has always attracted great attention from the world’s media.

This is an opportunity that we can share with the whole Langhe and Roero territory, but which also brings with it great responsibility. In fact it is the everyday life of Bra, its residents and customs that really determines the success of the event. In the past this has been an important added value, helping us to show our visitors aspects of the “slow life” that characterizes Bra and Piedmont in general.
